The SAFIRE/A instrument is a FT transform spectrometer, the raw data output obtained from the two acquisition channels of the instrument consist in interferograms which Fourier transform gives uncalibrated atmospheric emission spectra.

The level I data analysis task is to perform the forementioned transform, and the frequency and intensity calibration of the atmospheric spectra obtained. The final result of the level I data analysis consists in sequences of calibrated spectra each one corresponding to a different line of sight of the instrument.
