From a series or "sequence" of calibrated atmospheric spectra each corresponding to a different observation geometry (i. e. different pointing angle of the SAFIRE/A input optics), we can retrieve the concentration of the analyzed chemical species.
The level 2 data analysis task is to perform this retrieval process and to produce the concentration profiles (in terms of VMR, volume mixing ratio vs. height) of each analyzed component.
